What
others have to say:
"Amber and Brad
are high end professionals. Very enthusiastic and personable
as well. Your choice for a strength coach is obvious."
-Pavel Tsatsouline

"As a Senior RKC I have the
honor of getting to work with a great group at RKC certifications
a few times a year. In every group there are always a few
trainees that stick out. Brad Nelson and Amber Dornfeld are
two perfect examples. In addition to being outstanding athletes,
both Brad and Amber are passionate about training and know
exactly how to transfer this passion to others. Add in depth
training knowledge to the mix and you have a recipe for two
excellent instructors. I highly
recommend that you take advantage of their
expertise and sign up for their services."
-Mike Mahler Santa

"Amber and Brad are excellent trainers who are truly
passionate about their work. It is obvious that they love
helping others to achieve their goals. Not only are they both
skilled kettlebell trainers, but they are also kind and compassionate
toward their clients. Anyone in the Twin Cities area who is
interested in improving their health, fitness and performance
levels should treat themselves to a training session with
Brad and Amber--you will be glad you did!"

"Easy
doesn't pay....Unless it is the decision to train with Amber
and/or Brad - Skilled instructors who walk the walk of fitness
and strength. Motivated and knowledgeable - they are an excellent
choice for your fitness and performance goals."
-Brett Jones La Jolla, California

"I cannot say enough about how your training and
kettlebell workouts have inspired me. I feel you are leading
a revolution in the training industry and congratulate all
those fortunate enough to receive your guidance. I was tired
of the health club scene and knew when I saw the kettlebells
that my life was going to change. They are exciting, addictive,
and body transforming.
For
those who know they need to do something, I can think of
no better avenue than a long term series of training sessions
with you. It has changed my life forever for the positive,
and I was already in shape. I can only imagine what can
be forged for someone who isn’t."

"I felt that Brad's Kettlebell Seminar was clear,
concise, and gauged at an appropriate level for our class.
Having been on staff for Minnesota's top Healthclubs/Training
Centers (seventy to eighty percent of the clientele were successful
middle-aged women) and also having worked for a local professional
sports team, I felt that Brad's non-chalant demeanor/style
would fit for any population (beginner to advanced athlete).
Here are some specifics that I liked about Brad's Kettlebell
Class.
1. Customer Service/Resourcefulness: Brad was there to coach
us on our technique before moving on to a more advanced exercise.
Brad was open to any questions during and after the seminar
and provided resources for pursuing certifications and equipment.
2. Leadership by Example: I never asked myself whether or
not I could do the exercises and repetitions involved but
just did it. Brad performed the movements and choreography
for each exercise as many times as needed and held confidence
in our group that would meet our challenge.
3. Biomechanics of Movement: I liked how the movement patterns
were safe and focused on initiating from the lower body and
core while finishing with the upper body.
4. Efficiency of Movement: For anyone who values their time,
this is an excellent way to cross train for twenty to thirty
minutes and gain the benefits of a cardiovascular, strength
training, balance, and core workout simultaneously.
Thank
you for your dedication and positive energy!"

"I've been doing your workout posted in Vitalics magazine
and my wife and I have been seeing insane results. Currently,
I am using the 20 kg bells for my lifts. The 5 x 5 workout
with the MP, double SN, FR SQT, TGU, & RR I can almost
fully complete with 30 sec. rest.
My wife has seen amazing endurance gains and can almost complete
6 rounds with 30 seconds using 2 x 12 kg! I plan on going
to 2 x 24 kg as soon as I can nail this one down a few times
to be confident about it. We have been
rotating that with Amber's published workout to give 2 brutal
days to look forward to. ...It seems that once you
learn to overcome the muscle fatigue, it seems as if you have
to fight the urge to vomit. :) We also like to do 50
front squat & presses in our best time (goal is under
10 minutes) at least once a week. We are working on our pistols
and pullups periodically throughout the week as we find time
as well as Jandas and hanging leg raises.
My
energy levels have shot through the roof and I have gained
a few pounds and broke my plateau at 180 to 184. Weight
gain is not a goal but it is kinda cool because it is very
dense muscle. ...my forearms seem like they are constantly
clenched and my entire body looks and feels so much stronger
than I could have ever possibly imagined. My bandas have
been strengthened and I can hold inversions for much longer
in my yoga practice. I have a very long body type and I
have always found it difficult to balance in a
headstand or forearm stand.
Hopefully
we will cross paths one day as we would love to RKC someday."

“Kettlebells
are a breath of fresh air! Finally, there is a philosophy
that makes sense, and to think that it has existed for 500
years. Performing the dynamic exercise with a kettlebell is
strength training, aerobic conditioning and flexibility in
one. I’ve always believed that true athletes aren’t
the massive bodybuilders, but the guys that can run, jump,
climb, fall down and bounce back. I’ve been looking
for an exercise program that is simple, requires no gym and
is based on callisthenic movement. I’ve found it. Thanks
Brad!”

“15-20 minutes with Brad’s
kettlebell workout was better than my hardest day speed-skating

“This workout is outstanding! Brad
exceeds expectations and creates an environment that makes
learning easy and will push you past all previous known limits.
Until you use Kettlebells, it is difficult to comprehend their
impact on both your physical conditioning and your mental
outlook on what is possible. Brad leads by example and goes
the extra mile to create an atmosphere that is fun and 220
bpm heart rate + challenging. It sounds like a broken record
if you have read any testimonials about kettlebells, but if
you desire to do something new, then give this a try! There
are good videos to get you started but is safer and quicker
to have someone like Brad help you.”

“I saw results with Brad’s kettlebell
workout after my first day. KB’s addressed my entire
body as a unit vs. training a collection of body parts. Benefits
also include the transfer from strength training to sport-specific
activity. KB’s have also made me stronger in just six
short weeks in the following areas: overall core strength,
bike pedal power generation and shoulder strength and mobility
for swimming.”

“I
gained more in five weeks training with kettlebells and Brad
than in two years of traditional training. My squat max jumped
80lbs, my vertical increased 3 inches, and overall I have
better balance, I’m more flexible and I drastically
increased my explosiveness!"

“Very
exciting stuff! As a personal trainer and rugby player, I
have trained a great amount in power and sport-specific work.
I have never worked so hard and so effectively in 15 minutes
as I have with Brad’s Russian Kettlebell workout. The
demands of rugby place great loads on the body. Kettlebells
make the body work just those demands. Power, strength, balance
all in less time; so there is more time to devote to sport
skill, while still reaping the benefits of training.”

the flexibility coming with the strength and aerobic training
felt great. The kettlebell exercises felt good and made me

so much to tell my family and friends! Being a college athlete

“I have not worked out for 2 years…I had a
baby 6 months ago…I started working with Brad 4 weeks
ago on average 2x’s per week…In just 4 short weeks
with kettlebells, I have lost one dress size and created a
much firmer butt and midsection.”

“I like Brad as an instructor because he makes the
exercises easy understand and learn. After we got home I went
to my room and exercised with our new Kettlebells. I’ve
memorized the exercises he taught us. It looked hard for my
Mom and Dad to do. When Brad said it would make me a better
athlete, I worked harder. I like Kettlebells because you can
do more stuff with them then dumbbells. Someday I want to
do harder exercises like the one legged squat that Brad did.”
-Garrett Loomis...age 9 River Falls, Wisconsin
“I liked Brad as instructor because he was inspiring
and encouraged me the whole time and he also makes it fun.
Right away I could see the benefit of what they can do for
me as a football player and wrestler. Kettlebells work on
a bunch of muscles I didn’t know I had. This is the
kind of weight lifting where I can go longer than my Dad.
Kettlebells are easy to do after 1 or 2 tries.”
-Cameron Loomis...age 13 River Falls, Wisconsin
"I loved how kettlebells allow multi-tasking...strength,
cardio, flexibility all in one shot! Brad trained our entire
family at the same time which was a lot of fun for all of
us. I haven't been challenged this much in years."

“After 25 years of traditional weight training,
I have never experienced a strength training technique that
impacted so many muscles in such a short period of time. I
was literally exhausted. Brad’s method of warming you
up, teaching the lifting techniques, and working into a program
makes it all fit together nicely.”
-Bill Loomis River Falls, Wisconsin

“Amber,
your kettlebell program is the first time any exercise has
been linked to the things I actually do in my daily life.
Kettlebells have increased my awareness of body mechanics
and posture, reducing the chances of injury from poor form
and muscle strain. I'm stronger now at over 50 than I've been
all my life!”

“Brad, first off I want to say how much of a pleasure
it was to meet you in person. Your knowledge of KB’s
and exercise in general is outstanding. As for the course
itself, I wouldn’t have wanted it any different. You
covered the most important KB exercises from start to finish
with the tips that were needed to make sure my technique was
right. The ten-minute cardio workout you put us through at
the end of the workshop was a definite wake up call. My heart
was racing for sometime after we got done. Thanks a lot. In
closing your workshop it was nice that you took some time
to talk with us each about what we wanted to get out of our
future KB training and your willingness to keep in touch with
us as we progress. I highly recommend you to anyone wanting
more from his or her training and to see the results that
only KB’s will give them.”

"I felt working with kettlebells challenged me like I
haven’t been challenged in a long time. After the seminar,
using kettlebells as the workout solution for strength, flexibility,
and endurance just made sense. I love having to focus on the
movements, and how the exercises utilize every major muscle
group in the body. Brad did an awesome job of simplifying
each movement. It’s great being challenged, and a big
plus is when using kettlebells it does not allow an individual
to only go through the motions like what is common in today’s
gyms. I’m looking forward to implementing kettlebells
into my clients’ workouts in the near future..."

"Brad, WOW is all I have to say...In 7 days I have
gained 4.5 lbs(all legs I think) and lost close to 1% body
fat! I know you put today's workout as less intense, but WOW!!!
The Full Body Attacks are awesome.. you weren't kidding when
you said, 'If you can do 25 your are in shape!' I am not sure
I can do 12... I was also pumped after completing the pistols
with 1 16kg. also, I am up 1" per leg & .25"
per forearm since I started 4 weeks ago!! Thanks again!"
-Kevin Burns Ankeny, Iowa

"As a middle-aged man with an interest in riding
horses, I needed an exercise program that built strength in
my mid-body and improved my joint flexibility - particularly
in my hips. I tried yoga, aerobics and various free weight
programs before skeptically trying kettlebells. While the
other programs helped in flexibility or strength, they didn't
give me both and the weight programs left me stiff and sore.
Brad's
kettlebell program is the whole package! My hip flexibility
is dramatically better, my core strength is greater
than ever and the day after a big workout I don't feel like
a truck hit me.
For
riders this is a near perfect program because it gives you
both the core strength and flexibility you need to build
a stronger seat. I would recommend Brad's kettlebell program
to anyone interested in a conditioning program that allows
them to function more effectively - without pain."

"I am the owner of a Day Spa in Saint Paul, and have
enlisted the aid of Brad and Amber to help several of my clients
with their quest for overcoming previous injuries and their
search for better health. Brad and Amber have shown extreme
professionalism in dealing with my clients. They have taken
the time to advise, demonstrate and share their knowledge
with those seeking their help. You two are doing your part
to educate the public on kettlebell training and are truly
a talented and caring duo!"

"I took a KB lesson from Brad recently and I have
to admit I was hesitant to spend the money on a private lesson
to learn something I figured I could learn from a book or
a DVD. Boy, was I wrong. It turns out the lesson was awesome
and surpassed all my expectations. The hands on experience
of having Brad show you EXACTLY how to do each movement, the
progression of movements and the real time feedback was invaluable.
Now I can go practice what I learned with confidence that
I am doing it correctly and at a minimum know when I am doing
it wrong. I would highly recommend Brad to everyone. Kettlebells
are great for training and actually "fun" in a sick
twisted way. Thanks again Brad!"

"Brad, thank you for connecting with me this week
while I was visiting the Minneapolis area. I last had formal
training during my certification in 2002 and was looking for
some feedback on form and technique. I knew I had let some
of the small, but so important, details of my kettlebell training
slip through the cracks over the years. Here are some of the
goodies I took home with me after just an hour with you:
- Learned
how to improve my squat form by practicing the wall squat
-Learned how to improve my squat depth by releasing the hip
flexors
-Learned how to transition my Turkish get-up from a multi-segment
move to a free-flowing move from horizontal to vertical position
-Learned a few grip improvement techniques (which is my weak
point)
I
travel all over the country for my work and am always looking
for RKCs to train with and to learn from. Your training
facility is the best I have seen with lots of room and an
incredible display of kettlebells from 9 pounds all the
way up to the 106 pound monsters. Your knowledge of the
finer points of RKC training, your physical and technical
display of RKC methodology and your humble and calm demeanor
are all evident within the first few minutes of meeting
you. I look forward to connecting with you again the next
time I visit the Minneapolis area. Thanks again, Brad!"

"At age 52, I was having trouble with my knees.
My life has always included recreational activity and regular
trips to the gym. After separate arthroscopic meniscus trimming
on both knees, I was having pain, discomfort and stiffness
in both knees. My kids were harassing me for the various
remedies I was collecting in my personal medicine cabinet.
Particularly frustrating were the activities I was forced
to give up - jogging, recreational walking and any weight
bearing exercise. I changed my diet to avoid foods that
may have been contributing to my knee, joint pain. Revisiting
my orthopedist, going to my physical therapist for three
months, stretching and trying to gradually increase my activity
level were all equally unproductive and unsuccessful.
Brad
came to my attention as he was the only RKC instructor in
my area. While not actively researching kettlebells, they
seemed a possible alternative to my trips to the gym. Those
efforts with machines and free weights were producing a
gradually diminishing benefit. After seeing Brad
for a complimentary introduction, the kettlebell exercises
seemed to provide a cardiovascular, strength, flexibility
workout that I could vary and get the same benefit as going
to the gym. I wanted a good workout with noticeable results
in strength, stamina, and energy, that I had not been able
to enjoy for a few years. I am continuing to learn the kettlebells
from Brad, and am looking forward to using them in my home
to minimize my workout time, and maximize the overall benefit
with a variety of routines. That has been exciting and just
what I was looking for in a convenient, effective workout
technique, that I lost years ago with free weights.
My
greatest surprise was how much Brad helped my knees the
first time I saw him! No way. That was not even on my radar!
With the joint flexibility and comfortable strength enhancing
exercises Brad demonstrated, my knees
felt better the very next day. I do not say that lightly.
I was not expecting that at all! Now a month later, my knees
feel better than they have in years. I have been amazed.
Stairs, walking, are more comfortable than I ever expected.
Brad gifted me this benefit after getting no significant
relief from my orthopedist or my dedicated physical therapists.
Thanks Brad!"
